Mt Calvary and Abundant Life Lutheran Churches' children. Such a beautiful site. We are blessed by so many children in both of our congregations.
A blog titled, "A Thousand Words" with only a few words. My life in photos, each worth a thousand words. One photo per day every day. Enjoy the chaos, the love, and the memories.

My Husband, The Chef
My husband made these spicy chicken sandwiches from raw chicken, flour, and other various ingredients. It was, by far, the best spicy chicken sandwich I have ever had. We figured out the cost of the entire chicken sandwich each of us had, including lettuce, tomato, mayo, bbq sauce, pickles, cheese, and bun, and it was less than $2. Tack on the sweet potato wedges for an estimated $1, and we had the best dinner (and most filling) for less than $3 per person.
Don't ever think fast food is cheap.

A Little Chicken Love
There are so many reasons to love Chic-fil-a. This sign is just another one of those reasons.

I Have Made Bread!
I did it. I broke out the $4 bread machine my mom bought me at Salvation Army and I gave it a whirl. Whole wheat bread with sunflower seeds, flaxseed, and honey as a sweetener. Can I tell you this was awesome or is that tooting my own horn? Seriously. The plan is to start making all our own bread. We shall see! It was so easy, so fresh, so good for you, and can have so many varieties. Money saving, cholesterol saving bread? Yes please!
Storytime-Sick Style
So, we haven't been able to go to the library in over a week, but we can do storytime here...daddy sick-style.

The Sickies
My boys watching their video. No temps in them this morning, but still not quite right. As for me...blah...my nose is a fountain and my body hurts.

Decluttering
This is today's donation to the Kidney Foundation. Twelve bags of my labor, but it feels good to be cutting the clutter. Four bags have already been donated to other individuals. I hope these items find new wonderful needing homes!

Pastor Swap
Not a new reality tv show, but it could be a good one...Chris preached in Denver, NC, today. They had a pretty great 0-4 age Sunday School class. It was fun and they learned about Jesus feeding the 5000.

A 70th Birthday Celebration - African American Style
We learned this week that it is traditional to have very large parties for 70th, 80th, 90th, and so on birthdays in the black community. Your family throws them for you as a sign of respect for the elders in their family. We went to one tonight. It was pretty awesome to experience. We were the only white people there...what a fantastic and unique life event. Everyone was supposed to wear all white attire. Enjoy the photos!
