Family Friday: Fill It Up!

Mile long walks, looking for frogs, swinging, laughing, grilling, having friends over, decompressing, and having your friends clean up the mess - all in a fantastic family Friday.

Happy Baptismal Birthday, Mander!

What a full and fantastic day.  The weather was gorgeous, we had a blast all day, the boys finished their first summer reading program (10 + hours of reading under their brains this summer), they received blue ribbons from the librarians, then Daddy came home and we celebrated Solomon's Baptismal birthday with ice cream (Sweet Frog even had non-dairy for me), and then Mander and I got a date night while Daddy and Henry went to Bible Study.  We played outside, painted, played on the swings, looked at clouds, ate pasta, played trains, and did bedtime routine together.  It was good to just focus on him for awhile.  What a great date!  Somewhere this afternoon I fir in over an hour of consistent, painful contractions.  All in a day's work around here.

Hmmmm?

On nice days, the boys and I go on nature adventures.  We take a blanket, sit in our backyard and listen to the animals.  I ask them what they hear, they say, "Hmmmm," make this face, and then tell me what they hear.

IV Fluids

So, today was a long and very tiring day.  Hoping tomorrow is better than today.

36 Weeks Pregnant ans Sick as a Dog...

There are not many worse times to be really sick.  This is horrible.  Alas, my kids are still adorable and my husband is still a rockstar.

Happy Anniversary

Not every anniversary dinner is interrupted by a toddler saying, "All done...I have to poopy," but I wouldn't want it any other way.  A day with my family is the best way to celebrate six years of marriage.

Pizza Fridays

We added hamburgers to this homemade pizza Friday.  My husband hates to waste hot coals! 

Keeping Them Busy

I do about 6000 small activities per day to keep these boys busy.  Phew!  I am tired.

No Picture

I took the boys to their first movie theater movie today for $1.  It was great.  We saw the documentary, Earth.  When a VERY pregnant mother is trying to survive in a new public place with two VERY active little men, she does not have a free hand to take a picture.  You will just have to trust me that we actually did this.  :)

Yard Sales!

We went yardsaling today.  These are just some of our awesome finds - all of the baskets on these newly hung shelves and that awesome metal crate that I think might be an old milk crate.  I am not sure what is going in it yet, but it is beautiful.

Fourth of July

A cookout with some church members in Charlotte.  Swimming, grilling, and sparklers - a full 4th of July traditional day.
